We've laid out the boards as simply as we can to just communicate the concept and the different elements of the proposal. We've also included a quick mock up of how the idea could work as an e-invite and a web button for the college website.

Public Invite

 

 

 

This is the most experimental element of the designs. The public invite is an A5 booklet that has a smaller section of the top. On the front the smaller section folds over twice to reveal all three names we've picked out. Then the whole thing opens up to reveal the reversed out invitation in the middle. All the extra information is contained in the smaller pages on the back.

Posters

These are the posters. Once again we have kept Damien on the front as most people know of him. We have inverted the colours as well as we think they both look lovely.

Private Invites

 

 

This is the private invites. We have kept the same on the back and switched the colour palette, but have changes each of the graduates for a little variation.

End of Year Show Posters

These are the posters for the end of year show. Once again they carry on the theme of the private invites. It is blunt and straight to the point, I have only used Damien in this one as most people know who he is and it is common knowledge that he graduated form this college. I think it would catch peoples eyes if they saw it and maybe pop in to have a look, or enquire about the show.

These are the final ideas for the private invitations for the end of year show. Keeping the idea of the kind of cocky way of thinking, keeping it bold with the black and white and underlines. I think they work really well as a set and will appeal to people whoever they are sent too.

End of Year Show Format test

This is an idea for the format of the invite for the public/leaflet with the info. It is an A5 document but is also half of that to facilitate the other artists/graduated of the college that are on the private invites. We think that this is an innovative way the lay out the leaflet and the public invite because it gets all the information we want to get across whilst still advertising both parts of our concept. It has the tongue in cheek part of the design and it also has the nice part in the middle that promotes the exhibition very well. The after part is just information about the how together, who to call etc.

These are some quick ideas for the layout of the public invite/flyer/poster. It is the same format that has been used a few times before so we are a little wary of using it again as the marketing people want something a little different. I think we are going to go for something that reveals all three of the people we want to use and do it in an interesting format.

End of Year Show Quick Sketches

Just a quick idea playing on the silly one we had earlier on. 

These are the final ideas for the who the hell is.. idea. We have used the most recognized graduated from this college and made a quirky idea for the end of year show identity. These are ideas of the invites. I think they work very well. They are strong and striking and the concept is there, its not being silly for the sake of it, nor is it being rude. It is illustrating the point that the show is about us and nobody else.

End of Year Show Joke Ideas

This was just done as a joke when me and Tom were talking about a the subject of our generation being very different to our predecessors. It was initially a really quick silly idea, spelling the names wrong and not really thinking to much about the design part of it, but it actually started to work as an idea once we cut out the silly part and took it seriously as an eye catching piece of exhibition promotion.

This idea is explaining that we aren't 'better' than other college graduates, but we are different and getting past them

Year Book Mosaic

This was the first idea we had for the end of year exhibition stuff. Me and Tom Pratt are working collaboratively. This idea is to do with  a Mosaic. It interlocks with the mosaic pattern on the college logo and we tried to incorporate colours for that. I feel this worked well but for an idea for the end of year show, I don't think it was different enough to compete with other people. Tom rinsed this more than me.

Here is how I think it works as an invite. It is eye catching and the strap line works to fit in with the mosaic idea, but once again I think it is too plane and simple to work really nicely as a full end of year exhibition piece.
