Really close to the deadline this happened when trying to print the shirts. It's a real shame because I think they had real potential. The screen was obviousley blocked and I literally don't have time to correct it. The screens had some glue stuff on, which is annoying because it's not my fault, but I have to deal with it. I'll have to mock them up using photoshop. 

Things like this are annoying because I am pretty good at screen printing and these could have been really nice.

Catalogue ideas 2

This is the second layout, I dont really think that I need the diagrams in there (the web versions) I think that my versions for the shirts work fine, if not better. I have added borders around the boxes so they fit in with designs that I have already done. I am pleased with the way it looks. The covers and inside covers will be different colours and that will look good as they correspond with the shirts.

Catalogue ideas

The first idea for the catalogue/zine. I have used both the real diagrams and the diagrams that I have created for the shirts and the zine. The front cover is simple, it is just the logo, but underneath on the other side is a large space scape, this acts as like a window, the same idea works on the back.

It is quite an experimental layout which I feel works for the type of publication that it is.

Shirts

The order for the shirts. I have gone for two of each incase I fuck up. I have gone for the pastel colours, lime green, light pink and light blue. These will correspond with the covers of the catalogue/zine. I have the colours of the paper for them from Gaddsby's.

General Relativity

These are the new symbols for the catalogue pictures. I may not actually use them over any pictures like I have with the photographs on the shirts but I feel that using them somewhere would be relevant to the explanation of the theory. Maybe some sort of diagram index.

General Relativity

General relativity or the general theory of relativity is the geometric theory of gravitation published by Albert Einstein in 1915. It is the current description of gravitation in modern physics. It unifies special relativity and Newton's law of universal gravitation, and describes gravity as a geometric property of space and time, or spacetime. In particular, the curvature of spacetime is directly related to the four-momentum (mass-energy and linear momentum) of whatever matter and radiation are present. The relation is specified by the Einstein field equations, a system of partial differential equations.

Dark Matter

In astronomy and cosmology, dark matter is matter that is inferred to exist from gravitational effects on visible matter and background radiation, but is undetectable by emitted or scattered electromagnetic radiation. Its existence was hypothesized to account for discrepancies between measurements of the mass of galaxies, clusters of galaxies and the entire universe made through dynamical and general relativistic means, and accounting for matter based on counting atoms in stars and the gas and dust of the interstellar and intergalactic media. According to observations of structures larger than galaxies, as well as Big Bang cosmology, dark matter accounts for 23% of the mass-energy density of the observable universe, while the ordinary matter accounts for only 4.6% (the remainder is attributed to dark energy).

Dark matter was postulated by Fritz Zwicky in 1934, to account for evidence of "missing mass" in the orbital velocities of galaxies in clusters. Subsequently, other observations have indicated the presence of dark matter in the universe, including the rotational speeds of galaxies, gravitational lensing of background objects by galaxy clusters such as the Bullet Cluster, and the temperature distribution of hot gas in galaxies and clusters of galaxies.

Multiverse

The multiverse (or meta-universe, metaverse) is the theoretical set of multiple possible universes (including our universe) that together comprise everything that physically exists: the entirety of space and time, all forms of matter, energy and momentum, and the physical laws and constants that govern them. The term was coined in 1895 by the American philosopher and psychologist William James. The various universes within the multiverse are sometimes called parallel universes.

The structure of the multiverse, the nature of each universe within it and the relationship between the various constituent universes, depend on the specific multiverse hypothesis considered. Multiverses have been hypothesized in cosmology, physics, astronomy, philosophy, transpersonal psychology and fiction, particularly in science fiction and fantasy. In these contexts, parallel universes are also called "alternative universes", "quantum universes", "interpenetrating dimensions", "parallel dimensions", "parallel worlds", "alternative realities", and "alternative timelines", among others.

This is a new theory I am looking at to include in the catalogue. I think that the catalogue should have more than just the theories on the shirts. It should be a catalogue of theories and just the selected three on the shirts.

I think these layouts work a lot better than the ones with the type on the inside and underneath. The title being by the body copy seems to sit a little better on the shirt and seems to work for me better on the eye. Aesthetically I think these work better and it works with the concept more. I think this because it is quite a formal subject and these are quite formal columns, almost like newspapers. The other one looks a little too modernist for my liking. I also think these sit better on the shirt compared to the large rectangular box. The chest is the focal point.

These are a couple of new layouts for the t-shirts. Instead of putting a large box in the middle of the shirt I have taken the element of the logo and swing tags and used the diamond shape for the middle of the shirt. I think it works well but the type/header doesn't fit too well within the diamond shape. I like the slanted type as it gives the layout something a little different.

These are the formats for the shirts. The dimensions are as tall as A3 but skinnier. I don't know if they work too well yet. I think maybe the designs are too skinny and tall. Maybe a more square image would work better. I will play around with the format accordingly and see which works better on an actual shirt.

The ideas for the Black Hole theory speak for themselves. Both diagrams are quite recognized so whichever is used will obviousley be Black Holes. I like the first design more because it is a little more complex and the second diagram looks a little too much like an eye.
